It’s not every day that The Queen sits down to eat produce direct from Pembrokeshire, however, at the Patron’s Lunch on Sunday 12th June Her Majesty and 10,000 guests will do exactly that to celebrate her 90th birthday.
Speaking at his farm in Walwyn’s Castle, Capestone Managing Director Justin Scale said; “Capestone have supplied M&S with Organic and Pembrokeshire Free Range Chicken for many years so as a dedicated Royalist the opportunity to be part of a top-secret project to develop and produce the centre piece of the celebratory hamper was just too exciting to pass by.”
Guests on The Mall will sit to dine from a specially commissioned and limited edition M&S hamper featuring a selection of Britain’s finest produce. Nestled in the centre of the hamper will be a Pembrokeshire chicken roulade with Wye Valley asparagus and minted Cornish potato salad with pea shoots, creamy mayo and a herb drizzle.
Commercial Manager Dan Mills added “It has been a huge privilege to be part of this project, the whole team have done a tremendous job to deliver a product that showcases Pembrokeshire at its best. I just hope Her Majesty enjoys it!”
Capestone were also delighted to have worked with the Pembrokeshire Youth Outreach Team during the project to give a group of young local people the chance to gain some vital work experience.
